Here is some troubleshooting that I received from the cable manufacturer: Open Windows device manager, and check the “Sound, video and game controllers” section. There are no independent Real Tone Cable drivers. Does your cable still work successfully on the 360? That would point us towards whether or not the cable itself is corrupt or if the issue is with Windows. Right-click 'Rocksmith USB Guitar Adapter.' Select 'Uninstall.' Wait a few moments, then right-click the list and select 'Scan for hardware changes.' Sorry for the delay. Open the Device Manager.įind the entry for 'Rocksmith USB Guitar Adapter.' It can generally be found under the 'Sound, video and game controllers' entry but may be in another location, depending on your PC. If that link is not valid, visit and search for ‘DirectX End-User Runtime’ to download the installer from their site. Try installing the DirectX Runtime from this link and see if that solves the problem. If that device is not being recognized, it is a Windows issue that we do not have direct control over.

Rocksmith uses the generic USB microphone driver that is part of the DirectX Runtime package which gets installed on the initial RS Steam install. What should I do? I've already contacted Ubisoft and here is how far we've gotten, starting from the bottom: (I'm bronaconda13). I've had this cable for a year since the first Rocksmith came out and it worked fine on my Xbox 360 as well. It also says the I/O request was canceled. When I look at the properties for the device it shows a Code 10 and says that the device cannot start. It says that there is a problem with the driver. I went to my devices and saw that the cable needed troubleshooting so I did it and it didn't work.
